Chat and presence

Private messages

/message <player> <message> (aliases /msg, /m, /whisper, /w) sends a private message to a player anywhere on the network, not only on the same server. The player name completes with everyone online.

Presence

Every server records its players in Redis: who is online, on which server and on which type of server. Entries expire on their own, so the players of a crashed server disappear from the counts shortly after. This is what private messages and the player count placeholders read.

Chat format

The group prefix and suffix (see Permissions) are shown in the chat and the tab list. Players with graycore.chat.format may use formatting in their messages.
